Jade doesn't think much of it as his eyes flicker from her face to the top of her head. Her eyes and her ears have been her own for...well, the ears are her pet dog's, but regardless, she's used to them. To her, it's nothing more than a once over. ]
I am from Earth! Just before the end of the mid 2000s, I believe, but if you are looking for an exact place, well... I do not know. My island was in the middle of nowhere. You look like you are from Earth, but that's kind of a weeeeeird question to ask, right?
[ ...Jade does not deal a lot with normal people. ]
Jade leans back on the balls of her feet, fists on her hips. The teasing expression melts away, replaced by thoughtful curiosity. It's enough that Jade can think she relates to him; she misses her island, misses her friends, misses her brother and even her penpal. "Home" feels a little lost, here. ]
...Hm!
[ But her job has always been to keep high spirits, so she smiles in a way that looks like she understands. ] You will be able to come back and see how they are doing in the pods whenever you want, going from the planet to the ship is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Actually, I can show you!
[ ...But to be safe, Jade holds her hands out. If Riku can't teleport too easily, she can always offer to be a shuttle for him. ]
[Home was far away when Riku was just wandering the Worlds, a tiny star in the sea of oh so many, but now it's gone again, taken by the Storm… and even though, Riku knows he couldn't have gone back the way he's now, it still hurts. That Sora and Kairi are safe for the moment is the only thing that keeps him from despairing (though maybe he hopes that they won't wake, that he can find a way to fix this before they ever find out that their home has been destroyed a second time).
He can't keep thinking about that.
Riku doesn't return her smile, but his expression softens just a little as he nods, and then reaches for her hands. He's pretty sure they've been told that they need to take the hands of someone who's been down there anyway, after all.]
Please do.
[Time to go and see if El Nysa lives up to the hype.]
[ Jade's hands aren't exactly soft - they're covered in cuts and callouses, a tell tale sign of how much she enjoys working with them. Her grip is just firm enough to feel like she's got a confident understanding of how this works. She gets the feeling that there's a movie reference John might shove in here now ("Click your heels and say there's no place like home!") but Jade only says: ]
Focus really hard on getting to El Nysa, and it'll work lickety-split! ...Hope you didn't eat a big lunch!
[ It's not so bad, actually, being tossed from a space station to the planet orbiting below it. It's a far less ridiculous landing, too, than her's had been.
Olympia is bustling and Jade holds Riku's hands like she's trying to make sure he's balanced before looking out into the throngs of people on the street. It's a lot more conspicuous, Thesa's transportation, than her own method of teleportation. No one really thinks much of it - maybe they missed the two teenagers before spotting them now? ]
[Riku's hands are similar calloused, the right more than the left – tell tale marks of how much fighting he has done in the past year – …or they would be, if they weren't covered in gloves.
He holds tightly onto her hands as they teleport, stumbling slightly when they hit the ground – he's teleported before, but it's never turned his stomach like this, so he's grateful that she helps him keep his balance through the first few moments. It takes a moment until he lets go, he's taking slow deep breaths to steady himself, before he straightens up and releases her hands.]
Thanks.
[Then he turns his head, taking his first look at the city around them.]

Looks pretty busy.
